Umbraco's Most Valuable People

MVP Program

Being an Umbraco MVP is about more than just contributions – it’s about the values they bring to the community. MVPs lead by example and embody Umbraco’s core values: Trust, Respect, Openness, Hunger, and Friendliness.

MVPs contribute in countless ways, sharing their knowledge, time, and creativity. They might write insightful articles for 24 Days of Umbraco or Skrift, create useful Umbraco packages, or give engaging talks at meetups, festivals, and other events. Some help organize events, create videos about Umbraco, or share their expertise on podcasts. Others submit pull requests that improve the platform, or actively support fellow developers.

No matter the form, every contribution strengthens the Umbraco community. On this page you'll read about our MVPs - the Most Valuable People in the community - and learn how to become one yourself.

Umbraco MVP status is valid for one year. To continue as an MVP, you can renew your status when the next application period opens.

MVPs are chosen by the Umbraco Developer Relations Team. We carefully review all nominations and applications, considering factors like the scope and impact of contributions, the way candidates support and inspire the community, and how well they embody Umbraco’s core values.

Not at all! While technical contributions are valued, MVPs can contribute in many ways—through writing, mentoring, organizing events, creating content, or supporting the community online.
